Teaser Tuesday

It's Teaser Tuesday, hosted by Should be Reading. Here's the idea:

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!
  • So here's my teaser, taken from How Far is the Ocean from Here by Amy Sheern.

"The truth of it was that he had asked his parents about his biological mother - you had to say biological, not real - when he'd been a teenager, when he was told what he'd always suspected....If he and Kit were to adopt a child, raise it as their own, like a little foundling, knowing all along that the kid would someday ask about its real parents, to whom it would have some deep, mostly imagined bond - well, it was precisely why they had gone to such great measures to have one themselves." I want to read this book -- it's on my TBR list, already.

But, man... those are LONG sentences! LOL. :P

    Thanks for playing!

I haven't heard of this book, but the quote has me curious. As MizB said, it is a long one. :-)

    Enjoy your Tuesday!

This could be interesting with the book I'm reading...The Shadow and the Night by Chris Walley...here goes...
p99, "There was a heavy silence in the room. Merral, wishing he was elsewhere, plucked up his courage."

Hmm that was an uneventful 2 sentences lol, but a great book.
