It's been two weeks since I received any books in the mail, and all I feel is relief. I think that's a sign that things were getting a little out of control. Not to worry - I have no doubt I'll fall off the bandwagon before too long. Obsessive people tend to do that. In the meantime, however, I've had fun rearranging some of my shelves, and finding some books I'd forgotten I owned. (How sad is that!)

I probably need a week like that, but I'm still at the point where it's really hard for me to wish for that.
I have to admit that I would feel relief also. I love reading, and I love getting books to review, but sometimes panic as I see how many are waiting on my shelf for me.
I only received one, and it WAS a relief!

I don't think I received any last week myself, and I agree that it is a bit of a relief. I'm sure I'll more than make up for it this week as I'm expecting a bunch. =/
My parents are repainting the office/library-ish room and they had to move some of the books off the shelves to move the shelves, so they're all sitting on the table and whenever I walk by, one of them catches my eye and I think "Oh I have that! I really wanted to read that!" So I can totally relate to finding books you forgot you owned! ;-)
Ha, I'm always finding books I forgot I had. I know I bought them, in theory, but until I see them again I can never remember doing so. (This is especially true of books that are in my closet(s). Out of sight, out of mind indeed.)

I feel similarly to you - I could really use a week or two of nothing in the mailbox, but it is SO hard!! :)
Here's my Mailbox! ~ Wendi
I keep telling myself to stop requesting but there are just SO many good books out there! I wish I could read lightning fast!
Where are you getting all these books to review? Not getting any (and probably because I've never requested any), I can look on only with envy and feel no sympathy for a relief from receiving books. In fact, that nearly sounds sacrilegious. :)
Thank you for stopping by the mailbox this week. Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is. My mailbox may have slowed down but the shelves are still overflowing.
