The Lives of Christopher Chant was probably the first Diana Wynne Jones book that I read that made me say "yes, I must read all of her work." I love all of these books! Those are good Pra...Yay! I love all of these books! Those are good Pratchetts to start with but, even if you don't get to them, Equal Rites is a perfectly good starting place since it's the start of a different story arc. You would just have a bit more world-building background if you start with the other two (and they are also fun reads!). And continuing on with the Chrestomanci books is a wonderful idea. I'm listening to The Lives of Christopher Chant while I walk and having a great time.
